Frost usually occurs during December and January.
Methods to Protect Crops from Frost

- If frost is expected, irrigate the field immediately.
- Burn crop residues or dry waste around the field to create smoke during midnight.
Nutrient and Chemical Sprays
- Spray sulfur solution 0.1% or 1 ml per liter.
- Spray sulfur 15 grams and borax 10 grams per pump.
- If frost risk is high, spray Dimethyl Sulfoxide @ 75 grams per 1000 liters during flowering stage.
